Falke

Franz Falke-Rohen, a roofer, founded his own knitting mill in 1895 but it wasn’t until 1918, where he purchased the ‘Wool and Hair Yarn’ spinning mill with his son did the Falke Group become the established brand we know today. Since its founding year, Falke evolved to develop a specialisation in leg wear, with a focus on socks. The brand then concentrated on the fledgling hosiery market and introduced the first nylon pantyhose which was manufactured just after World War Two. Production expanded to include knitwear for both men and womens through the 70s with the 90s seeing expansion in specialised yarns. In 2005, Falke initialised Ergonomic Sport System – a full range of optimised functional sportswear.
